The present tense describes things that are happening now.
Rosie is playing her guitar.
Rosie always plays her guitar on Mondays.
The past tense describes things that have already happened.
Rosie played her guitar in the school concert last night.
The verb (the action word) is the part of the sentence that shows us the tense. We make many verbs into the past tense by adding -ed to them.
play + ed = played
look + ed = looked
In this activity, we will practise changing verbs into the past tense.
