Answer

We can say the total will be  R + T         

Easy, right?

 

Let's have a look at another example.

 

Example

Julie was a joiner and she charged £20 per hour.

If she worked for G hours, write an expression for the total pay she would receive for her work.

 

Answer

G hours at £20 per hour would be written as 20G.
