We can put sentences in an order to write about something that happened or tell a short story.

It is important to sequence the sentences in the right order; one idea needs to follow another in a logical order so it makes sense.

These meals are sequenced in the correct order:

Breakfast Lunch Dinner

These days of the week are sequenced in the wrong order and do not make sense:

Tuesday Sunday Friday Wednesday Monday Saturday Thursday

These days are sequenced in the right order:

Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday

We can sequence short simple sentences.

The sequence is in the correct order as it needs to snow before a snowman can be built.
