This is a practice spelling test in the style of a Key Stage 2 National Test.
In the real Key Stage 2 National Test, you will write your answers in a special test booklet, in spaces provided.
At EdPlace, you will use the computer to enter your answers and you can use a pencil and paper to make jottings if needed.
This paper includes a variety of types of spellings from the Key Stage 2 programme of study.
For each question, you will listen to a short sound clip of a word, followed by a sentence containing the word.
The word will then be repeated on its own.
On the screen, you will see the same sentence, with the repeated word missing.
This is the word you need to spell.
Type the word into the box provided, spelling it as best you can.
There are 20 spellings in the test.
The test is not timed but should take approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
All questions are worth 1 mark and require you to type an answer in.
These questions will be marked automatically.
You may find some of the spellings difficult.
If you are struggling to spell a word, do not waste time on it, but move onto the next question.
