Here is a reminder of all the UK coins and notes which you should recognise.

1p or One Penny              2p or Two Pence

5p or Five Pence                10p or Ten Pence

20p or Twenty Pence         50p or Fifty Pence

£1 or One Pound          £2 or Two Pounds

£5 or Five Pounds    £10 or Ten Pounds

£20 or Twenty Pounds

In these questions, you will need to recognise the coins and add them up. 

Sometimes we will be working out which collection of coins is worth more money.

Let's have a look at an example.

Which collection of coins is worth more money? A or B? 

A 

B 

A is 1p + 1p + 1p which is 3p.

B is 2p. 

3p is bigger than 2p therefore it is worth more money. 

This means our answer is A.

A is more money.
