Being able to spot and correct spelling errors is called proofreading. You can also look for grammatical and punctuation errors when you proofread. It is a fabulous skill to have!
In this activity, you will look at a text with a fair few errors and work to correct them.
Have a look at the text - you might be able to see some errors straight away - and then get ready to answer some questions.
The world of insects is a fascinating one. There are hundreds of diffrent species of insect – scientists have discovered over 95,000 of them – so it can be hard to think of your favorite!
Pehaps you have no expereince of insects or didn’t know how many there were.
Did you know that some insects live in extream conditions and are eqipped to withstand high or low tempratures, or go months without food?
Some insects are easy to recognize, such as the bee, but you might not know that there are actaully seven different types of bee!
So if you have the oppotunity to learn more about insects, then you should take it! I guarrantee it will be worth it!
