In this activity, we will learn how to convert marks into percentages, using a calculator.
Then, we will need to round our answer to two decimal places.
Example
Sally has scored 65 out of 87 in a maths test. What percentage is that?
We write this as a fraction first: 65 out of 87 is written 65/87
This means 65 ÷ 87 = 0.747126
To turn this into a percentage, we need to multiply by 100 which gives us 74.7126
Finally, we need to give our percentage to two decimal places which is 74.71%
Let's get started on the questions now, so grab yourself a calculator and we'll begin!
