There are 5 tables in a classroom.

Around each table sit 6 children.

Half the children in the class are boys.

How many boys are in the classroom?

Answer

This is a multiplication to find the number of children.

5 × 6 = 30 children

Half of 30 = 30 ÷ 2 = 15 boys
