In this activity, we will learn how to recognise the 3D shapes that can be made from the given nets.

3D shapes are not flat.

Here are some 3D shapes. 

A net is what we get when we fold a 3D shape out flat, to show all of its faces.

Answer

Imagine the middle square as the base and fold the other squares around it to make an open cube (one without a lid).

The answer is an open cube.
