Join Words and Phrases Using 'and'

Do you like eating jelly and ice cream?

Or chocolate and crisps?

You can use and to join all sorts of things together! Using and can be fun and it’s really easy once you know how.

Have a go! Think of your two favourite things and then say ‘I like… and ….!

How did you do?

In this activity, we will be joining longer ideas together, not just words.

Such as: The boy is jumping and the girls are playing. 

Or

The fluffy rabbit is soft and brown.

When you can join your ideas using ‘and', we can start using our imaginations to make up exciting sentences and even stories!
