Proofreading your work is a great habit to develop.
Proofreading means you scrutinise your writing for errors in spelling, punctuation and grammar. Simple mistakes are easy to make, especially when you are writing for a longer period of time. Spending time checking your work means you can correct any issues.
However, in addition to simply proofreading for errors, there are other ways proofreading can help you level up your writing. You can look for ways to improve the vocabulary choices you have made; add more detail to a sentence with extra descriptive language, or information; vary the sentences types you use; or use more developed punctuation.
In this activity, we will look at ways to approach this method of proofreading to help your writing really make an impact.
