Cube numbers are formed by building cubes as follows:
You can find a cubed number by multiplying the number by itself, and then by itself again.
Four cubed would be found by the following calculation:
4 x 4 x 4 = 64
You'll need to learn at least the first five cube numbers and be able to work out the others up to 10 cubed:
1 x 1 x 1 = 1
2 x 2 x 2 = 8
3 x 3 x 3 = 27
4 x 4 x 4 = 64
5 x 5 x 5 = 125
6 x 6 x 6 = 216
7 x 7 x 7 = 343
8 x 8 x 8 = 512
9 x 9 x 9 = 729
10 x 10 x 10 = 1,000
We can also write cubed numbers in a special way like this:
1 cubed = 13
2 cubed = 23
3 cubed = 33
