Water may be a very common substance, but it is also very special.
It is the only material that we can find as a liquid, a solid and a gas at everyday temperatures.
Of course, we are most familiar with its liquid state - water.
But when it freezes, at 0oC, the water changes into solid ice.
On the other hand, heat water up and when it reaches its boiling point of 100oC, then it changes into a gas called water vapour, although you most easily see this as steam.
In this activity, we will explore some of the properties of solid water, commonly known as ice!
