Worksheet Overview

When learning about electrical circuits, we need to understand the terms conductor and insulator.

This activity is all about conductors.

Conductors are like special pathways that let electricity flow through them easily.

These conductors are usually made of metals such as copper and aluminium because they have a special ability to let electricity pass through them without any trouble.

electrical wires

So, when we want to make electrical circuits, we use materials that are conductors to make sure the electricity can travel where we want it to go safely and smoothly.

Here is a circuit which is using plastic-coated metal wires. The wires conduct the electricity to the different components which makes the circuit work.

Let's learn more about conductors in the following questions.
