Wilfred Owen was a soldier and poet who fought in WWI. He was shot and killed just one week before the end of the war! His mum was told that he had been killed on the day that WWI ended - how sad is that?

Owen wrote a lot of poetry about the war - he wanted to tell everyone at home how terrible it really was for the poor soldiers who fought and died for their country.

We are going to look at how themes develop in the poem 'Exposure' - sometimes it can be graphic because he described war as the soldiers really saw it.
