In this activity, we will learn how to calculate the volumes of cubes and cuboids.
A cube has 6 identical square faces.
The volume is how much room it takes up inside!
To find it we multiply the width and height by the depth.
In this case, that is 4 x 4 x 4
The volume = 64 cm3
A cuboid has 6 rectangular faces.
We find the volume the same way we find the volume of the cube.
We multiply the width and height by the depth.
In this case, that is 7 x 5 x 2
The volume = 70 cm3
Let's do some questions!
